At PrayU, we believe prayer is personal. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our app, how we use it, and how we keep it safe. We keep things simple — your privacy matters to us.

When you create an account or use PrayU, we collect:


•Email address — used to create and manage your account.
•Name — if you choose to provide it, to personalize your experience.
•User-generated content — prayers, comments, and any other content you post within the app.
•Basic usage data — information about how you interact with the app (such as features used and general activity), to help us improve the experience.

We do not collect precise location data or sensitive personal information. If you make a purchase, payment information is processed securely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:


•Create and maintain your account.
•Enable you to join a church community and connect with other members.
•Display your prayers and comments within your church's feed.
•Send important account-related messages (such as password resets).
•Improve app performance and fix issues.

We will never use your information for purposes unrelated to providing the PrayU service.

User-Generated Content

Prayers, comments, and other content you post in PrayU are shared with other members of your church community. This content is not publicly visible outside of your church group.


Please be thoughtful about the personal information you include in your prayers or comments. You are responsible for the content you choose to share within the app.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information — ever.


We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:


•Service providers — trusted partners who help us operate the app (such as cloud hosting and Stripe for payment processing), bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
•Legal requirements — if we are required to do so by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Account Deletion

You have the right to delete your account and associated data at any time.


You can delete your account directly in the app by going to Settings → Delete Account. Your account, profile, and all associated content will be permanently removed immediately.

Note: Some information may be retained for a limited period to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Your account is protected by a password, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and keep it private.


While we work hard to secure your data, no system is completely invulnerable. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

Children's Privacy

PrayU is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.


If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete their information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we will notify you through the app or via email.


Continued use of PrayU after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
